Fortune
50: Integrations |
|
Our client, a fortune 50 company is a global leader in the commercial finance arena with over $200 billion in assests.
| |
| Challenge
|
|
When our client chose to upgrade their 20 year old
core operational system from a mainframe application to the
Oracle Lease Management System (OLM), they challenged Techlogix
to implement an enterprise integration architecture interface points
with various internal and external systems and applications owned by
customers, vendors and other business partners that would:
- scale to their growing business
- provide the flexibility to interoperate with evolving business
processes and IT systems.
- automate processing
- provide centralized management
OLM needed to seamlessly interact with disparate internal and
external systems managed by customers, vendors and other business partners
such as:
- Origination Systems for contract and customer data.
- Funding Systems for check printing and payment.
- Invoice Systems
- Customer Service Systems
- Tax Systems
Techlogix was engaged to provide a complete
integration solution for the rollout of this Global
Lease Management solution.

| Solution
|
Techlogix designed and implemented the
webMethods Enterprise Application Integration
(EAI) in a fully clustered environment and Informatica Data Integration Solution to
support the 24x7x365 business processes. Integrations
were designed as publish and subscribe to allow for
maximum flexibility and scalability. Modular implementation,
reuse of integration design patterns and centralized management
of the EAI architecture improved reliability,
maintainability and support of key business data.
The solution provides a common framework to:
- Import Contracts, vendors, customer and assets information from the Origination Systems into Lease Management to manage their life cycle.
- Automatic receipts and payments via DD, wire transfers and check printing through different financial institutions
- Invoice printing, imaging and dispatch through third parties.
- Recoveries of delinquent accounts through Collection Agencies
- Contracts, Termination Quotes, invoices, receipt and payment details to vendors and customers through vendor and customer self-service Systems
- Special Reporting to vendors, customers and financial institutions
- Periodic feeds to Data Warehouse and other Decision Support Systems
The solution includes a set of Real-time, batch and request-based Interfaces transferring data ranging from a few hundred records to half a million during peak times.
Additionally, the XML based messaging provides a flexible and extensible solution for evolution from existing point-to-point integrations to a publish-and-subscribe paradigm where multiple systems could be the recipients of the same data.

| Benefits |
|
Our client was able to rollout
Oracle Lease Management solution tightly integrated with
multiple vendors, partners and customers. The new architecture
could scale to the needs of the business and offer the flexibility
to add additional business partners, integrate with new acquired systems and accounts with ease. Automation of integrations and common framework increased the efficiency of processing and have shortened the time to respond to issues.
In addition, key enterprise data was published from its
system of record to all other applications to
ensure a high level of data quality
throughout the
enterprise.

Technology |
|
The Integration solution was developed using webMethods Integration Platform 6.1.5 and Infomatica 7.1.3 with extensive custom Java components and PL/SQL packages. Real-time integrations have been developed by creating web Services using SOAP. Integrations are interacting with Oracle Application Suites through Oracle Exposed APIs and interface Tables. Concurrent programs and scheduling services within webMethods and Informatica have been created to trigger interfaces at their respective schedules.
