Kennedy
Information acknowledges Techlogix as key player of the
global "offshore model"
In
a report published by Kennedy Information titled "e-Services
Report", Techlogix is quoted amongst successful international
IT companies following the Offshore Model of IT Services
Delivery. This report highlights key features of the offshore
model that makes it a growing trend in the IT service
industry despite being a more complicated approach involving
a coordinated use of distributed sites around the globe.
"This model has established real traction in the U.S.
market, anchored by broad customer demand from such customers
as General Electric and CSFB." Having emerged as an
attempt on the part of some Asian countries searching
for new markets to capitalize on their vast human resource,
IT services firms initially with modest coordination between
onshore and offshore operations took on jobs outsourced
by their U.S. based counterparts but with the passage
of time and experience, these offshore firms have now
moved up the food chain and have become more directly
involved with end-customers with emphasis on integration
at both leadership and technical levels.
Commenting
further, it says that some of the pioneering offshore
companies e.g. Techlogix has a growing number of trained
offshore personnel. Apart from having an ideal balance
of technical and business skills, these personnel have
an added advantage of being familiar with the English
language, providing for more effective client interaction.
