Mobilink is the largest mobile phone company in Pakistan with over 35 million subscribers. In 2008 Mobilink launched a major IT transformation project anchored around implementing Siebel CRM for managing all aspects of customer care.
As part of this project, Mobilink also decided to replace a large number of point to point integrations between various systems with a standardized integration platform built on an Enterprise Services Bus. Given the very high transaction volumes (more than 1 million per day), Mobilink selected Tibco as its core integration platform.
Mobilink selected Techlogix as its integration implementation partner. The first phase of the project was to ensure that all Siebel CRM interfaces were built using the Tibco ESB. In the second phase, interfaces across an additional 22 systems were migrated over to the integration platform. A key deliverable from Techlogix was an integration architecture which would scale to very large scale deployments in terms of interface count, systems integrated and transaction volumes.
